Echeveria purpusorum 'Green Gilva' is a compact and highly decorative indoor succulent, prized for its thick, dark green leaves dotted with small reddish-brown spots. Its geometric and textured appearance gives it a refined, mineral look, ideal for succulent collections and very bright spaces.
Origin: Horticultural selection from Echeveria purpusorum , a species native to Mexico, where it grows in well-drained, arid, rocky areas.
Growth: Slow growth. It forms a small, dense rosette of thick, triangular leaves, dark green to olive green, marked with characteristic small reddish-brown dots. The plant generally remains compact in a pot.
Flowers: Occasional flowering on mature plants. It may produce a thin flower stalk bearing small, orange-red, bell-shaped flowers with yellowish tips.
Light: Requires bright, direct sunlight. Excellent light promotes a compact rosette and intensifies foliage patterns. An efficient grow light can also be used indoors.
Watering: Water only when the soil is completely dry. Like all succulents, it tolerates drought very well and is very sensitive to overwatering. Reduce watering frequency when growth slows down.
Substrate: Use a very well-draining succulent potting mix, ensuring excellent root aeration and preventing any stagnant moisture.
Toxicity: Non-toxic to humans and animals.
