This has become one of the most popular vines for home gardens due to its flowering and intoxicating fragrance. It is a woody, deciduous, perennial native to China. Its cascading flower clusters grow to about 1 foot in length and are borne in abundance in late spring. Hummingbirds just love them! Flowers are followed by attractive, velvety, bean like pods 6 inches long, which ripen in fall and persist into winter. Its growth rate is fast and can spread to over 30 feet. It will need strong support and is perfect for covering walls, patios, arbors or fences. While this plant is a climbing vine, growth can be restricted to a few limbs and can be trained into a tree-like shape, usually with a wavy trunk and a flattened top. An excellent choice to be container grown or a bonsai specimen.
All parts of the plant contain a glycoside called wisterin which is toxic if ingested and may cause nausea, vomiting, stomach pains, and diarrhea. It is deer resistant.
It prefers moist but well drained rich soils. It is considered shade tolerant, but will flower only when exposed to partial or full sun. Choose growing sites wisely because plants dislike being transplanted. Prune as needed when growth is active, but ideally in early, mid and late summer. Early blooms can be damaged by freezing temperatures.

Keeping the crusty heels at bay!

I deal with chronic dry heels that crack if left unmanaged. I bought these in hopes that when I do soak and scrub my heels that I can keep the cracking at bay. These have been a godsend. I wear them every night and my heels are nice and soft. I plan on purchasing more.
A couple of things I have noticed, if I wear these during the day, the bottom of my feet do seem to sweat and there is some slipping. I have only washed these are directed (hand washing) and you will want to after a couple washes because it could give a sweaty feet smell. Overall, I highly recommend.

Moisturized heels out of the box

A Staple in Skin Care Routine
Style: Milky Toner
This toner has become a staple in my skincare routine. I have sensitive skin and a lot of products tend to cause irritation or redness, but this one has been incredibly gentle from the start. My skin always feels soft, calm, and hydrated after using it.
The texture is lightweight with an almost soapy feel at first, but it absorbs quickly and never leaves my skin feeling greasy or heavy. It layers well with the rest of my skincare and works great both morning and night. I also appreciate that it gives results similar to more expensive brands without the high price tag. Definitely one of the better affordable skincare products I’ve tried.

My Favorite Product in the Milky Line

This toner has easily become my favorite product from Thayers brand and all other brands. I’m very picky about my skincare routine, especially when it comes to products I use daily, and this one has completely earned a permanent spot in my routine.

Hydration + glow without irritation!

I’ve been using this milky toner for a couple months now and it has quickly become a staple in my routine. The texture is lightweight but creamy, which makes it feel more nourishing than a typical watery toner. It absorbs really well into my skin without leaving and sticky or greasy residue. I haven’t noticed that my skin feels softer and more hydrated after applying it AND it layers so nicely with serums and moisturizers. One thing I really appreciate is how gentle it is on my skin. It doesn’t cause any irritation, redness or breakouts! I actually feel like it helps calm my skin on days when It feels a little dry or “stressed”. Overall, I think it is a great option if you are looking for a hydrating, soothing toner that fits easily into either a simple or more detailed skincare routine.
